The CLC Sanctuary Choir is a dynamic thriving family of believers who are passionate about declaring the goodness of God through song. Members sing from the deepest gratitude for what God has done (and is doing) in their lives. We rely not on ability or reputation, but on the power of the Holy Spirit to take this humble offering and use it to powerfully change lives every week.

   There is no question that you would be warmly welcomed if you desired to join. The diverse make-up of our choir creates a wonderful environment of love and acceptance. The Choir has year-round open enrollment and all you need to do to get started is to attend a choir rehearsal to see if this is where God has called you to be. We meet in the choir room at 7:00 PM every Thursday night and at 6:00 PM on Sunday (a complete schedule is available in the policy). See the “How do I Join?” section for more information.

  The Youth Choir consists of students from 6th to 12th grade. This group meets monthly in the Auditorium on Sunday afternoons for rehearsal. This is a great place for youth to get involved and develop their musical gifts. The Youth Choir participates in the Fine Arts program of the Assemblies of God, as well as ministers in special services and outreaches.

  The Children’s Choir is for 1st  through 5th graders. This is a seasonal ministry that begins in March and ends in August. The children’s choir ministers in special services and outreaches throughout the summer.

WORSHIP TEAM

   Worship is a priority at CLC. Lifting our voice in praise and worship is for one reason alone, to glorify God. Praise and worship is not about a favorite song, a certain style, or how it makes me “feel” - it’s about giving God the honor, praise, and adoration He alone deserves. To facilitate every corporate worship setting at CLC, we utilize a team of people that are skilled and passionate about declaring this fact through song. We understand that the Holy Spirit is our worship leader, and our prayer is that everyone from the platform to the congregation enters in and yields to His leading.

  The worship team is an extension ministry of the choir and orchestra and auditions are held year-round for these positions. To participate, you must be an active member of the Choir or Orchestra. For vocalists, harmonizing by ear is required. Band members must be able to read chord charts at a minimum. Above all, we are looking for worshipers who lead by example in all areas of life - not just on the platform.

HOW DO I JOIN?
   An application and policy is available online to help facilitate this process - simply click on the links above and bring these to a scheduled rehearsal. To participate in any area of ministry within the Music and Media departments, you must be a member of CLC (if you are over 18). If you are not a member, you can begin the process for membership this week! The membership class runs year-round and is held in the Chapel at 10:00 AM every Sunday. If you are not a member, you are still able to attend rehearsals, as long as you are attending the membership class. You will not be able to begin ministering until you have completed the class requirements.
